Nevina Satta
Writer/Director/Producer

Husband and wife team Amedeo D’Adamo and Nevina Satta are making their feature-film directorial debuts with The Tree of Ghibet, a drama about a gang of child prostitutes struggling to survive the streets of Doula, Cameroon. But for these colleagues and life partners, the film is only their second collaboration in a series of film and educational projects.

In 2005, D’Adamo and Satta co-founded The Traveling Film School, a non-profit organization that provides free film and theater training to children in underdeveloped regions around the world. The institute is intended to give marginalized children a chance to tell their stories through a cinematic medium.

A native of New York, D’Adamo received his M.F.A. in Screenwriting and Directing from Columbia University in 1996. In 2001, he became the Founding Dean and President of the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood, CA. As a filmmaker, D’Adamo has starred in indie films such as Dogs (1997) and produced the feature documentary Chronicle of a Milanese Love (2006), his first collaboration with his wife. He is currently editing his second directorial feature, The Wrong Hands, a project written by D’Adamo and produced by Satta.

Born in Sardinia, Italy, Satta is the Founder and President of LittleSnowProductions, a documentary production company based in Milan. A filmmaker of 10 years, Satta has produced a number of feature-length documentaries, including Welcome to Lumezzane (2004). Other industry credits include her work as the Education Special Events Manager for various European Film Festivals, such as the Locarno International Film Festival and the African Film Festival of Milan. She is also a Professor of Filmmaking and Directing at the Catholic University of Milan in Brescia, Italy.

D’Adamo and Satta currently reside in Los Angeles.
